WestSide Corporation Limited (ASX code: WCL) is a publicly listed Brisbane-based Coal Seam Gas (CSG) producer with certified reserves and a diversified portfolio of exploration assets in Queensland.

The Company is strategically well positioned to take advantage of the potential value of its resources from marketing opportunities to downstream industrial applications and access to Australia's domestic gas market.

WestSide operates the Meridian SeamGas CSG gasfields 160km west of Gladstone in Queensland's Bowen Basin in joint venture with Mitsui E&P Australia. The Company holds a 51 per cent interest with Mitsui E&P Australia holding the remaining 49 per cent.

WestSide also holds 25.5 per cent joint venture interests with QGC and Mitsui E&P Australia in other CSG projects with exploration and appraisal programs currently underway at the Paranui, Tilbrook and Mount Saint Martin pilots in Queensland's Bowen Basin.

The acquisition of ATP 974P and ATP 978P in Queensland's Galilee Basin has also provided WestSide with a longer term growth focus in joint venture with Mitsui E&P Australia which has farmed in to earn a 49 per cent interest in each tenement.

Underground Water Impact Report PL94 - Public Submissions

Pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 3 (Sections 381 and 382) of the Queensland Water Act 2000, WestSide has developed an Underground Water Impact Report (UWIR) for its CSG operations within Petroleum Lease 94 south of Moura in Queensland. 

The UWIR is a routine requirement under state legislation and is due to be submitted to the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) on 29 June 2012.  The UWIR is now available for public viewing and comment and can be accessed here.

Coal Seam Gas - a Growth Story

In a relatively short space of time, the Coal Seam Gas industry has arrived on the Australian energy scene as a new, vibrant and viable energy source.

Queensland in particular, has a growing demand for gas for power generation, industrial applications and as a  feedstock for chemical production.

Development of LNG export facilities designed to use CSG as feedstock is also now underway in Gladstone.

Dawson Valley Pipeline

The Dawson Valley Pipeline is a covered pipeline under the National Third Party Access Code for Natural Gas Pipeline Systems. The ACCC-approved access arrangement and related information can be accessed from the Austalian Energy Regulator's (AER) website here.
